Ray Sledge, retired boxer

Raymond SLEDGE Burke was a traveling medium-weight arena boxer.

After boxing he developed rosacea on his face, a skin condition that creates a weathered appearance, possibly from his two years in Alaska towards the end of his career, as only his face was affected.

The rosacea made his face look like he was in his 70s; while neck down, he looked like a saggy-balled College Sophomore.

[I know you're thinking he must be a drunk. Nope, complete teetotaler.]

Ray Sledge Burke with advanced rosacea, 58 yrs old.

I did him a favor in a jam, and later, as a returned favor, he stepped over to the counter of my photo shop, picked up a model release, and signed it. He said, "What the hell? All the photogs in dressing rooms throughout the years, can't be sure, ...but, probably not the first nude photos ever taken of me..." and laughed.

Yep, he just shucked d'em pants with no qualms, whatsoever, just letting them nuts hang and swang.

"I sure wish I had a buddy like you, back when I was in training! You shoulda seen me!"

Trust me Raymond, for a 58 yr old, you still have a bangin' body!
(He was concerned I might try to take a picture of a bump in his back ribcage, as he once got a broken rib, that healed wrong.)

He stood around nekkid, about 10-15 minutes after I had put camera away. He had a cup of Orange Juice. [Which I keep around to mix a screwdriver, if a model requests one.] He gave me a hug. "Thanks for being there for me, and for these nice photos, ...beats those sneaky, blurry, poorly lit press pics, usually after a cold shower!"
